program of learning in Religion/Family Life, Reading, Spelling, English,

and Art. Children who do not complete the curricular requirements for their
level may be considered for retention, after parent-teacher
consultation. Students are strongly encouraged to use the public library on a
regular basis. Students are encouraged to read daily. At various times during
the school year, students have the opportunity to participate in classroom and
outside contests and other mind and spirit-building activities.
In order to
develop strong study habits and to reinforce learning and
responsibility, homework is assigned. Homework includes study
as well as written work. In grades 6th-8th homework is due
within 20 minutes of the start of the school day. No homework
can be done during class time. This includes homework from
another class. If homework is being completed at an
inappropriate time, the assignment will be taken away, and not
returned. No late work will be accepted in any subject.
